ETF Pick’s For Wednesday July 15th 2009 (EWS, EWM, FXC)
Peter Kenny, from Knight Equities and Jim Iuorio, with TJM Institutional Services spoke with CNBC’s Erin Burnett about their ETF picks today. The focus of the story seemed to be on Singapore which is not on every one’s radar right now, although its economy is growing at a rate of more than 20%. The growth is mostly due through the construction and biomedical sectors. Jim chimed in with his approach of buying the iShares MSCI Singapore Index (EWS). He thinks this is a good entry point into the Singapore market to see how individual companies are performing. Another of his picks of the day was the CurrencyShares Canadian Dollar Trust (FXC).
Peter Kenny likes the iShares MSCI Malaysia Index (EWM). Peter finds it to have the same potential as the iShares MSCI Singapore Index (EWS) with the additional bonus of gaming.
