Thursday April 1st ETF Movers: PSAU, IFNA

In midday trading Thursday, the PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals ETF (PSAU) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.3% on the day. And underperforming other ETFs today is the iShares North America REIT ETF (IFNA), off about 1.8% in Thursday afternoon trading.

About the PowerShares Global Gold and Precious Metals ETF (PSAU)

The investment seeks to replicate, net of expenses, the NASDAQ OMX Global Gold and Precious Metals Index. The fund normally invests at least 90% of assets in the securities and ADRs and GDRs based on the securities that comprise the underlying index. It normally invests at least 80% of total assets in securities of companies involved in the gold and other precious metals mining industries. The index is designed to measure the overall performance of globally traded securities of the largest and most liquid companies involved in the gold and other precious metals mining industry.

About the iShares North America REIT ETF (IFNA)

The investment seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield performance, of the FTSE EPRA/NAREIT North America Index. The fund generally invests at least 90% of assets in securities of the Underlying index and depositary receipts representing securities of the Underlying index. It may invest the remainder of assets in securities not included in its Underlying index but which BGFA believes will help the fund track Underlying index, and in futures contracts, options on futures contracts, options and swaps as well as cash and cash equivalents, including shares of money market funds advised by BGFA.
