In trading on Tuesday, the iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures ETN (VXX) is outperforming other ETFs, up about 4.4% on the day. Also up for the day is the Global Gold and Precious Metals Portfolio ETF (PSAU) up 2%.

And underperforming other ETFs today is the Market Vectors Russia ETF (RSX), off about 3.2% in Tuesday afternoon trading. Also down on the day are the iShares MSCI South Korea Index Fund (EWY) down 3% and the S&P SmallCap Energy Portfolio ETF (XLES) down 2.7%.
