residential real estateRegulators are loosening some lending rules, hoping to give a boost to the slow-to-recover housing market. It’s a departure from the push after the financial crisis to tighten lending standards.


“Fannie Mae (OTCBB:FNMA) and Freddie Mac (OTCBB:FMCC)¬†are working with housing regulators and mortgage lenders to ease credit for many consumers who have been shut out of the home buying market due to tighter credit requirements initiated in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis,” Fox Business Reports.
