In the process, the S&P 500 has staged a bull-flag breakout — approaching its next target (2,912) — while the Nasdaq Composite has rallied within striking distance of the 8,000 mark, thus far topping eight points lower.

The Invesco QQQ Trust Series I (QQQ) rose $0.06 (+0.03%) in after-hours trading Friday. Year-to-date, QQQ has gained 19.50%, versus a 9.17% rise in the benchmark S&P 500 index during the same period.

QQQ currently has an ETF Daily News SMART Grade of A (Strong Buy), and is ranked #1 of 41 ETFs in the Large Cap Growth ETFs category.
