Apple Inc. Rumors Continue To Swirl

rumors1This week, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced that its devices and iCloud were not affected by the Heartbleed security bug.

J.P. Morgan (NYSE:JPM) has an new analyst covering AAPL, who said he believes that Apple could make an additional $63 billion per year if it put a keyboard on the iPad and called it “iAnywhere.”

He’s not the only one who has opinions on what Apple should be doing.

The New York Times asked its readers how they think Apple should spend the $159 billion it has stockpiled in cash.

Some readers thought Apple should buy or merge with a media company like Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ:CMCSA) or Disney (NYSE:DIS).

Others thought Apple should use the money to pay taxes or to do something for the public good, such as funding scholarships or scientific research.

One of the designers who played a significant role in developing the look and feel of the iPhone will be leaving soon.

This week’s APPL rumors:

Apple Insider reported the rumor that Quanta Computer in Taiwan has received an exclusive contract to produce the long-awaited iWatch and will produce 65 million of the devices in the first year. 

Apple Insider, however, attributed the rumor to what it called “a suspect new report out of China,” so take it with a huge grain of salt.
