the launch of a new commodities course, since many new ETFs provide direct access to commodities markets.
To celebrate this milestone, CSI will ring the opening bell to begin the day’s trading session at the TMX.
“As an international leader in professional financial services education for 40 years, we felt it was the perfect time to add an ETF and commodities course offering,” said Roberta Wilton, President and CEO of CSI. “We are continually striving to identify and bring to the market innovative and practical products that help keep our clients at the forefront of their respective fields.”
The ETF course covers the features, trading strategies, and the risk and benefits of standard ETFs. It also covers newer ETFs, such as inverse and leveraged ETFs, while the ‘Commodities as Investments’ course outlines the benefits and risks of having portfolio exposure to commodities.
CSI collaborated with Howard Atkinson, President of Horizons ETFs Inc., a leader in the field, to develop the ETF course. “In addition to a surge in popularity, ETFs have grown rapidly in variety and design, which is why it is important to offer a course that explains these investment products in detail,” said Howard Atkinson.
“Excellence in financial education is a cornerstone of a solid financial market structure,” said Roberta Wilton, President and CEO of CSI. “Today more than ever before, we need to ensure that financial professionals have the appropriate education and accreditation to meet the demands of the industry.”
