The “Start-Up Nation ETF™” provides unique exposure to Israel’s dynamic technology sector.
“‘The Start-Up Nation ETF’ ™ is the result of deep collaboration between BlueStar, ISE ETF Ventures, the TASE, ETF Managers Group and other key partners, and we are optimistic that investors worldwide will find the ITEQ™ ETF a unique potential addition to their portfolio.”
The ITEQ™ ETF tracks the TASE-BlueStar Israel Global Technology Index™ (TA-BIGITech™), which is the broadest, deepest and most diversified benchmark for Israel’s global technology companies. The index is based on BlueStar’s proprietary methodology which includes Israeli companies listed worldwide, active in a broad range of well-established, emerging and disruptive technology sectors. These sectors include IT Hardware & Software, Cybersecurity, Big Data, Clean & Renewable Energy, Sustainable Agriculture, Defense & Security and Biotechnology.
The TA-BIGITech™ index includes cutting edge Israeli Global Technology companies such as Amdocs (Ticker: DOX), Checkpoint Software (Ticker: CHKP), Mobileye (Ticker: MBLY), Elbit Systems (Ticker: ESLT) and Verint Systems (Ticker: VRNT). The index was launched in 2013 together with the International Securities Exchange ETF Ventures (ISE). In March 2015, the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange affiliated with the index, and real-time calculation was extended from the Tel Aviv open though New York’s close.
Sam Masucci, founder and CEO of ETF Managers Group said: “We are excited to be involved in the launch of the ITEQ™ ETF, bringing investors unrivaled exposure to the worldwide Israeli Technology sector. ITEQ delivers a uniquely diversified investment opportunity and enhances the ETF Managers Group growing family of products.”
